forum on muslims and civil liberties

On September 18, the FBI conducted a raid on the home of Shakir Hamoodi, the owner of World Harvest and an Iraqi-American peace activist. The raid raised serious questions about the balance between civil liberties and homeland security. Tonight we are joined by Shakir, geography professor Larry Brown, and Gulten Ilhan, a philosophy professor who is also the vice president of the Council on American-Islamic Relations in St. Louis. Ilhan's talk is entitled "Targeting Muslim Rights: Private Provocation and Public Action." And there will be a community discussion afterward. Free.
